Clay Whitaker serves as Controller of Innovate 32, where he is responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance, and executing strategic cash flow management across the platform. Clay partners closely with leadership to develop scalable accounting processes that support multi-location growth and operational efficiency, focusing on data-driven insights to help guide investment decisions that strengthen profitability and long-term sustainability.
Prior to joining Innovate 32, Clay served as Executive Director of Accounting and Financial Reporting at Tivity Health, Inc. He started his career in public accounting with Deloitte & Touche where he gained valuable experience in complex accounting problems, internal control design and implementation, team-building, and leadership.
He holds a BBA in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy degree from Lipscomb University. He is also an actively licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of Tennessee.
Clay lives in Nashville, Tennessee with his wife, Lizzie, and their three children, Hallie, Addie Grace and Mack. Outside of work, Clay enjoys running, hiking and spending time with his family, which is on a quest of visiting all current 63 US National Parks.
