Preston Pownell serves as Chief Operating Officer of Innovate 32, where he is responsible for defining and advancing the organization’s operational strategy, supporting clinicians and teams, and delivering an exceptional patient experience across the platform. With a background spanning dentistry, healthcare strategy, finance, and operations, Preston brings a data-driven approach to building high-performing teams, strengthening practice operations, and advancing the organization’s commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
Prior to joining Innovate 32, Preston served as Vice President of Strategy and Operations at Great Lakes Dental Partners. He previously held strategy and advisory roles with Chartis, UT Southwestern Medical Center, and KPMG, helping healthcare organizations navigate growth, operational change, and M&A transactions.
He holds a BBA in Accounting and a Master’s in Financial Management from Texas A&M University, as well as an MBA from Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business. He is also a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Texas.
Preston lives in Dallas, Texas with his wife, Katie, and their two children, Hallie and Peter. Outside of work, he is an avid runner and can typically be found on any given Saturday morning enjoying a post-run biscuit and coffee with his family at their favorite breakfast spot.
